Il castello

Built in the XIII century by the Varanos, lords of Camerino, the castle of Rocca d’Ajello and the adjacent church of St. Biagio stand on a wooded hill in the heart of the Marche dominating an unspoilt landscape of rolling hills and mountains. Gardens full of flowers, three spacious medieval halls and a vast courtyard house exclusive events in a romantic setting.

The gardens full of flowers make this castle unique among so many Italian historic houses. Exuberant rambler roses and clematis festoon oaks and fruit trees and clothe the old stone walls with millions of pink and white blooms, while Iceberg roses frame the church door with a cloud of white buds. providing an ideal background for the photos of weddings and events.

The venue provides ample outdoor and indoor accomodation allowing ideal solutions even in case of bad weather. Besides a big garden and a spacious courtyard sheltered by the castle’s walls, three large medieval halls can sit a total of 450 people without the use of gazebos. Our clients can choose their caterer and visiting chefs will find kitchens equipped with industrial appliances.

Flower decorations add character and colour to the venue, making every event unique and providing a romantic background for every moment of the day. In every room of the first floor of the castle masses of flowers from the gardens are used by the in house florists in stunning arrangements. The guests will admire them and they will appear in photos and videos.
